The stages
STAGE 1
Design & approval
To involve the public in the project, the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) set up a consultation process in 2017.
The concertation was overseen by Mr. Jacques Roudier, guarantor appointed by the CNDP, to ensure the public had access to accurate information. This process enabled the different stakeholders to better understand and co-construct the project.
Commissariat général au développement durable (CGDD) praises the environmental impact study
“The impact study is comprehensive and qualitative. Despite its length, it is accessible and easy to read. The Environmental Authority highlights the importance of developing knowledge about marine and migratory land bird populations, as well as bats – which the pilot farms should enable and is necessary to transition to an industrial scale”.
STAGE 2
From pre-construction to construction
The Eolmed pilot park project brings together industry leaders from across the Occitanie region.
The financing process for the park began at the end of 2021 and was completed in April 2022. Construction began on May 1, 2022.
STAGE 3
Commissioning and operation
Commissioning is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2024 for a minimum operating life of 20 years.
