Eolmed welcomes Qair’s Spanish teams

Eolmed received a visit from the Qair Group’s Spanish team, accompanied by representatives of the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region, Euroports, Port Tarragona, Generalitat de Catalunya and L’ENERGÈTICA.

It was an opportunity to see the realization of France’s most powerful floating offshore wind farm, and to appreciate the scale of this Made In France reindustrialization project.

Key figures for the project
– 3500 tonnes: the weight of each of the 3 floats, with dimensions equivalent to a triumphal arch;
– 110 million Kwh: the annual production, equivalent to the consumption of a town with a population of 50,000, such as Narbonne.
– 18 km: the distance from the coast at which the wind turbines will be installed to minimize visual impact.
